Academic Life

​

I completed my medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine with honors from 1987 to 1993.

 

 

I then completed my specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, from 1993 to 1998.

​

 

Between 1998 and 2005, I served as a specialist doctor at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital. From 2005 onwards, I continued my career as a specialist doctor at Zekai Tahir Burak Training and Research Hospital.

​

​

I received the title of Associate Professor in 2010 at Zekai Tahir Burak Training and Research Hospital and continued my duties as the Clinical Chief.

​

 

Having the distinction of being the first public In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Center in Turkey, the IVF Unit Supervisor at Zekai Tahir Burak Training and Research Hospital IVF Center from 2011 to 2017.

​

In 2017, I was appointed as a Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Health Sciences University.

 

 

With the relocation of Zekai Tahir Burak Training and Research Hospital to Ankara City Hospital in 2019, I actively participated in the establishment of Ankara City Hospital IVF Center and served as the Supervisor of the IVF Unit from 2019 to 2022, contributing to many families achieving parenthood. I played an active role in initiating oncofertility studies for the preservation of reproductive function in cancer patients at Ankara City Hospital IVF Center, successfully conducting fertility-preserving treatments for dozens of cancer patients.

 

Throughout my entire professional career, I prioritized medical education and academia.

I made efforts to teach my knowledge and experience to my successors without hesitation, contributing to the training and professional experience of many Obstetrics and Gynecology specialists.

I also provided theoretical and practical training on IVF procedures to numerous Obstetrics and Gynecology specialists both domestically and internationally. It is particularly gratifying for me to see that the colleagues I have contributed to gaining professional experience in the fields of Obstetrics and Gynecology and IVF are competent.

​

I have made significant contributions to the literature with numerous academic studies published in prestigious national and international journals, receiving awards for my work.
