I would like to give a brief reminder about endometrial polyps.
Endometrial polyps are masses that grow into the uterus originating from the uterine wall. These masses may cause abnormal bleeding, intermittent bleeding and prolonged bleeding in some patients. In some patients, it may prevent conception.
In order to evaluate the polyps according to the individual factors of the patient, it is recommended to remove the polyp by entering the uterus with a camera optical system and pathological examination of the polyp.
Polyps should not be seen insignificant. Early diagnosis can be life-saving, especially in the presence of abnormal atypical cells in the base of the polyp. Especially in cases of atypical hyperplasia, depending on the age group of the patient, the treatment. Sometimes the treatment may be in the form of medical treatments that can continue in a very fast and controlled manner. Sometimes, if the patient's fertility is complete, it can be planned as hysterectomy surgery against the possibility of absolute uterine cancer.
For this reason, polyps should not be passed over. I would like to remind you that pathological diagnosis is essential.
I wish you all a good day.
